Apple Blossom Jelly
Apple blossom jelly. This is the third of our spring floral jellies. To me, the apple blossom is the most beautifully fragrant. Apples are in the rose family and so the aroma is just pure bliss. The jelly has a light honey flavor and is beautifully golden.
I make this jelly by steeping apple blossoms from our two old apple trees in hot water then combining that tea with sugar, lemon juice and pectin (from apples).
Our jellies last 1 month in the refrigerator after being opened and 1 year in a cool, dark spot like your pantry.
