


Tie-Dye Patty Pan
The best flavored summer squash in our opinion. This flying saucer-shaped squash with scalloped edges is so great. It has very tender, thin edible skin and is entirely edible except for the little green stem and little ‘belly button’ on the bottom. The flavor is more notable than a zucchini. We find it almost creamy in texture as opposed to the more watery texture of other summer squashes. We often either dice and roast/saute or slice in half and double bake with a savory filling. Patty pan are also superb cut in half and grilled.
