Our young flock is laying! and we are going to have a handful of extra dozen cartons every week. The first few weeks, the girls lay pullet eggs…smaller than the eggs they will lay the rest of their lives. But they are very special and rich :). Our chickens are free birds and eat a diverse diet of their foraged finds (seeds, greens, seconds produce from the field, worms and bugs) in addition to their non-GMO feed and crushed oyster shells we provide for them.
